Really good blend of coffee, chocolate, oak, bourbon, a hint of char, raisin and fig flavors.

Een degelijke en lekkere stout, 2019 versie vond ik beter! Smaak: geroosterde mout, cacao, chocolade, koffie, barrel karakter (bourbon), subtiele houttonen, hoog in koolzuur & zacht mondgevoel. De afdronk is mooi zoet, goed bitter en eindigt met vanille!

Heel bijzonder deze combi van koffie, chocola + bourbon. Hoge verwachtingen (gem. untappd score) maken het alleen niet helemaal waar. Misschien nog een keer proberen ;)

Subtle blend of coffee & vanilla in the aroma. Waited to let it warm up, & received a pleasant up front cherry sweetness, followed by bitter roasted coffee, charred oak, a nice note of dark chocolate in the finish. Well balanced & dangerously drinkable.

Definitely a drop in quality. Still solid, but not the powerhouse it once was. Not very complex.

Better than last years version in my opinion. Biggest difference is in the mouthfeel and taste for me. Mouthfeel was a little thicker and the bourbon didn’t overpower the chocolate and coffee for me. The oak barrels are definitely present though.
