3. Coffee, boozy nose. Medium to full body. Sharp coffee forward. Boozy. Rich, chocolate roasted malt. Woody notes. Bit more dry finish. Bourbon, woody notes. Great BA stout

The aging has mellowed this beer out. Drinks very smooth and has plenty of rich chocolate notes with some hints of coffee coming through as well.

Side by side with WE single barrel this won out. It’s also been hanging out in my fridge for 2 years.

Finding the photo enhance w/ iPhone! I’m so old for this 😁. Went to the cellar for ‘20 to prove my recent ‘22 post the older ones aged are better than this latest batch. And it is. More depth & complex w/ notes of bourbon, coffee & chocolate. #Founders?

This still drinks almost the same as it’s release year, perhaps a little more rounded, but no oxidation that I can detect. Sublime, especially for the price. Has to be a top-5 bargain-for-quality

The 2020 seems a little more drinkable to me. Less boozy flavour (whether or not that’s possible). Bourbon is smooth and flavorful.
