World Wide Stout - Bourbon Barrel Aged (2019) Paul

When the wife's Niners make the Super Bowl, you find a big beer for her. This exceeded my expectations. The barley is exquisite in the body. The barrel and chocolate interact like best friends. All day I could sip this.

Kriek Boon (2022) Paul

The hot tub is back in operation after the 20-year old pump died. Much needed after the labour today. This is delicious with solid cheery throughout, and just a hint of cough syrup. Funk is slight and balances the sweet/tart.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2022) Paul

Some delicious fudge action here, and the barrel is prominent, but not selfish. Thanks for a lovely afternoon, Hamiltons!

Black (2012) Paul

Oh man, found this at the back of my Stout fridge. Gone a little tart but the guts are still solid. Ashy and charred.

A ridiculously loaded Belgian Brown with heaps of raisins. Sweet Belgian boozy dark fruits and a clean finish. Cheers to Chuck H., as this reminds me of you!

I want more cinnamon! DOLPHINS MAKE THE PLAYOFFS!* *And I know we'll get smoked next week but it is still great for the team.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019) Paul

Our last CBS and it delivers at a stressful time in Dolphins' waters. This beer won't get better so drink up (Ironside-looking at you)! Maple is slightly muted, barrel is elevated. Come on 🐬s!

In honour of our good friend Hop D. 's birthday yesterday, I pulled this gem that is prime right now. Had my 4K unique in Boston with Gary, a vintage of this one. Cheers, Gary!

Dan C. Recommended drinking these older ones now. He was right. Found one and knew it must be drunk! A shadow of itself but still damn good.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021) Paul

Cinnamon dust and cacao nibs envelop the influence of the barrel right up to the finish, where it pops out for a quick chat. I'm a sucker for cinnamon so I am satisfied. Paired with a Jordan breakfast special.

KBS Hazelnut Paul

Getting fairly strong hazelnut here, with hints of the barrel. Thought it might be too sweet, but it pulls back at the end with a slight boozy kick.

$3 pint after Chelsea lose in the shootout. Not Hazy, crisp, and a little bitter. Azacca was the third hop, so it thankfully takes a back seat!
