120 Minute IPA (2018)

IPA - Imperial / Double

Clocking in at 15-20% ABV, 120 Minute IPA is continuously hopped with a copious amount of high-alpha American hops throughout the boil and whirlpool, and then dry-hopped with another pallet of hops. Unfiltered and abundently hoppy, it's the Holy Grail for hopheads! We brew 120 Minute IPA a few times a year, but it goes fast. If you find some grab a few bottles -- some to enjoy and some to age.

No carbonation left, pours muddy as wart, and smells like it too. Big malty boozy hoppy…been a while since I had one, but I’d swear this is barrel aged West Coast triple IPA

Had to narrow this down by abv, was given the bottle and told it was old but there aren't any dates on the bottle, still perfectly good.

First sip was a bit rough. Got easier to drink with each sip of this 6 oz pour.

Tasty! Floral, lightly citrusy aged hops lead, w/ BIG caramel, lesser grapefruit & fig, & splash of Sherry mid-taste, & balanced orange marmalade, roasted brown sugar, & resin late. 16.5% ABV absurdly well-concealed. Coating, chewy mouthfeel.

I don’t often check in a 6 year old beer. You can age this one much longer and it will still be great. Such complexity, I have to give it a 5. But it’s rich and strong. May not finish tonight.

Sharing a beer from my cellar with Larry - started with 60 minute, then 90 minute and then 120 minutes and there is no disappointment, the 120 minute still rules with complex flavors

Let's see how well this aged... Update...it hasn't seemed to change, though it seems a little hotter than the 2023.

Thanks for the share! Aging definitely shows more maltiness in these. I remember this from when I aged a 2013 and it still hold true.

Had no intention of cracking this tonight, but a tipped over box in the cellar led to this or pouring down the drain. (3/7/18 bottle date)

Wowza. First thoughts are moderate heat and black licorice. Still has some bitterness and none of the typical “old IPA” off notes. Some Cracker Jack notes in there as well. Heat persists, but is not overwhelming. Still some floral notes left.
