Good but still think it’s trying a bit too hard to be Abraxas

Knocking down a bit because WOW this is strong and malty as fuck.

Honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. But this held up very well! Sweet honey and champagne notes are super prominent

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2019) P
Aged so well. Drinking back to back with Bardstown bourbon aged in KBS barrels

Literally Brookstone chocolate covered Açaí whatever bullshit. Delicious 🫐

How is this still good??! Cellared and still getting hella earthy spiced notes and lemon twist notes on the finish

French Toast Bastard (Barrel Aged Series 2022) P
Maple syrup. Tastes like elementary school breakfast

Definitely prefer regular Fort, but this was interesting. Berry notes are noticably more tart here, and there is a slight bitterness present too

Just on the cusp of malty barleywine and bitter, piney IPA.

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) P
Semi-thick mouthfeel and an almost overly bitter dark chocolate base note.

Coffee still pretty present but hazelnut is muted. Honestly held up pretty well

Even better the more it’s had a chance to age. Getting a bitter citrus peel note on the nose

Omg. The tiniest bit puckeringly tart, but then simultaneously juicy but with the taste of dried apricots? Black magic

So different than 120 minute, but so good. Definite sweet and malty notes

Meh. Pumpkin in February is about as tasty as you think it is. Not terrible but not great

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) P
Warming, dark dried fruits and rich barleywine type flavor profile.

This aged pretty well. Soft, with a bitter and light almond flavor and toasty granola.

Definitely the most artificial tasting KBS I’ve had. I can taste the cocoa and the cinnamon, but the vanilla is really nowhere to be found.

Sweet, dark, and strong. Dogfish head beers age so damn well (this is from 2014).

First pumpkin ale! Very heavy on the baking spices and lighter on the palate than I was anticipating.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2018) P
KBS + maple syrup, apparently? I have yet to try the OG, but hopefully soon. This is a big daddy full-flavored stout and has come into its own after allowing it to age for several years. Can’t wait to try KBS on its own and compare all the varietals 🥰

Linesman’s moody, dark cousin. Taste is softer and more mild than I was anticipating, considering it has been aged for several years, but it has an amazing wild black raspberry flavor that reminds me of the berries that grew in my backyard growing up 💜

Oh wow, fresh 120 Minute is so different than the bottles from the cellar. That being said, it’s so damn good!

Defined boozy fruitcake flavor, with hints of dark chocolate and brown sugar

Sean and I are definitely having opposite taste/smell sensations...that being said, though, this is a damn banger. I get way more raspberry in the beer itself rather than in the nose...relatively little alcohol bite for 18%

The hops have held up really well over the past few years, but I’m definitely getting a ton of boozy maltiness. It almost reminds me of barleywine 🤔

Starting the night out strong. Cellaring this beer allowed the dark, malty notes to intensify and the finish is roasty, with hints of ash

Oak-Aged Vanilla World Wide Stout (2017) P
Surprisingly, I like the original better! The vanilla is kind of subtle to me and it just doesn’t drink quite as smoothly, even though it has a lower ABV
