Thick black stuff. (Best by 24/09/2016) Tobacco, cocoa, dried fruits, vanilla and some metallic

Been a few years….dug this one out of the cellar and it didn’t disappoint. Light bitter dark chocolate notes, very smooth. Rich but not heavy

Bäst före 24/9 2016, fantastiska toner av riktigt riktigt mörk choklad

This has aged quite nicely. Very smooth. Thanks Ken!

Cómo que el tostado de la malta y los sabores a frutos pasificados se redondearon al punto de darle un toque a turba, deliciosa

Second left… no cream or carb left… just a thick sticky stout with a little bitter coffee bite

Still really strong after 8 years. Dark fruit with roast in the background.

Has to be the oldest beer I’ve ever checked in…. 8+ years ago. Still holds up really well, has a sharp flavor or two that probably aren’t normal

This is about exactly what I expected from an 8 year old RIS, and I mean that with the highest compliment. Oxidation is mild and acceptable, and I think the slightly soy note is gone after warming up for ~30 minutes. Still a lovely roasty malt base.

Slightly oxidized and soy sauce flavors blended with nice roasty chocolate notes. Not worth the price due to rarity but at a discount it would still hold up pretty well. It’s still fun getting to try a beer this old on draft so no complaints.

🇺🇸 Strong nose of molasses, sweetness, roasted malt, licorice and aniseed. The flavor is… amazing. After 8 years it’s still astonishing… roasted malt, ash, bitterness, molasses, sweetness, bitterness… alcohol… medicine… really dark. BB 24/09/16.

Inky molasses aroma that leads to a roasty & smoky coffee malt. Smooth but finishing with a nice licorice bitterness and subtle bourbon ideas. Nice to get a taste after 8 years. Frothy

Like myself this has gotten better with age. Was bitter as shit when I bought it back in 2015. Its mellowed out nicely. Roasty, mild coco and some leathery tobacco. Very nice

2023 NFL draft. Go Lions. This has lost a ton of its chocolate richness and roast.

Quite bitter. Thought it would have mellowed with 7 years on it.

Wow. Can't believe I found one of these down in my stash. Haven't had this in a while. Still roast and delish.

Gorgeous Imp Stout. Dry and woody. Beautiful lingering crema gives it looks to match its brains. Dry bakers chocolate, espresso are kind of a given. Umami notes of smoke, leather, tobacco, marmite. 2015; Sweetness a dry 3/10 Wow!

Can’t say I’ve had a beer this old, or a beer this far away from its brewery! So good. It’s pure malt and chocolate at this point and no taste of booze at all. Strangely dark head on it as well, very perplexed by this old beer 🍻

How do you release a 2015 Stout in 2022? Who cares!! It's utterly fabulous decadent dense and rich..and an absolute pleasure to savour

Sadly, we waited too long to drink it and it was super sweet.

Still roast-y, bitter chocolate & classic imperial stout.. doesn't feel boozy. As usual, with a warmer temperature, it gets better.

This is a super special treat. A dark, oily pour off. Roasty and dark. Maybe just a touch past the prime, but not in an undrikable way. That’s something special.
