Quite bitter. Thought it would have mellowed with 7 years on it.

Gorgeous Imp Stout. Dry and woody. Beautiful lingering crema gives it looks to match its brains. Dry bakers chocolate, espresso are kind of a given. Umami notes of smoke, leather, tobacco, marmite. 2015; Sweetness a dry 3/10 Wow!

Can’t say I’ve had a beer this old, or a beer this far away from its brewery! So good. It’s pure malt and chocolate at this point and no taste of booze at all. Strangely dark head on it as well, very perplexed by this old beer 🍻

How do you release a 2015 Stout in 2022? Who cares!! It's utterly fabulous decadent dense and rich..and an absolute pleasure to savour

Lacking carbonation. Nice lambic pickley flavour but needs more depth.

(Left) Not a lot of information offered with this Boon. ‘2 year old un-blended’ Is that a single two year old barrel? Multiple barrels not blended with other years? Love the variation in lambics, this one was just a bit underwhelming.

Not the most interesting lambic I've ever had. Quite timid and watery.

Sweetish roastiness on the nose, very gentle chilli on the palate, dry banana-skin on the tongue lingering, almost cacao, afternotes. Probably needs some 8hr brisket to fully appreciate it.

This is very very nice, but I had lambic fatigue at this point.

After a bunch of really nice lambics, a straight flat lambic is really not for me tbh

Same goes for this one. After a bunch of nice lambics, a straight flat lambic isn't super nice to me. I didn't finish the glass.

I was super keen for this. Was lovely, although a little swamped by the other beers had around it. I'm not super familiar with honeysuckle either. Thanks Wazza!

The ‘19 version shows musty, dusty if not dirty oak, ancient Bourbon, prune infused, strong Ethiopian pour over coffee, near burnt, thin caramelised brown sugar. Nice balance

Amazing beer. Conversation turned to talk of travel and reminiscing about places we had visited...Trans Tasman Bubble opened today so things to be upbeat about. Cheers all.
