Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2016) C

Absolutely sublime. Everything in balance: cobwebby mineral notes, green grapes, balanced funk and fruit, light petroleum, tannic pithy dry finish

Rosé de Gambrinus (2015) C

Lovely unripened berries and acetic sourness, soft mouthfeel, tannic finish. Elegant

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2022) C

Always a pleasure. Ian says this vintage is “just okay”. I think he has syphilis

Syrax C

White grapefruit, massive hop character with a pithy dry bitterness that isn’t overdone. Clean attenuated pale malts. Super flavourful for only 3.5%

Framboise Boon (2017) C

Pours a little flat, but the seedy raspberry flavour is still very nice

Holiday Ale From To (Til Fra via Mikkeller) C

Rich chocolate, dark brown bread, coffee, hints of vanilla and spice. Thank God Coltan’s not here so we can enjoy these awesome dark beers!

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2020) C

This still drinks almost the same as it’s release year, perhaps a little more rounded, but no oxidation that I can detect. Sublime, especially for the price. Has to be a top-5 bargain-for-quality

Spontanlemon C

Super sour with surprising barley candy malt sweetness. Huge acidity (citric) is a bit clashy with the sweet malts

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label Edition N°2 C

This has some nice funk and light petroleum, but it’s a bit watery, lacking intensity

Kriek Boon (2017) C

Bucket loads of sweet spicy cherries, sweetness overtakes any funky complexity, but if you love cherries then this is pretty great!

Oude Geuze Boon (2015-2016) C

Last one in the cellar! Equally tart and funky, plum skins and leather, dry mineral finish

SpontanAcai C

Great tart fruit character, moderate acetic sourness, another great entry in this series

Drink'in Berliner BA White Wine C

Earthy vinous character, suggestion of rhubarb, soft finish

Big Worster C

Surprisingly light in colour! Barley candy and amoretto notes, sticky and heavy, warming finish that avoids harshness.

Beer Geek Fudgesicle BA Rye Whiskey C

Aptly named, this is as rich as fudge. Molasses in the nose, super-fudgey palate, with additional flavours of marshmallow and thick treacle. Super heavy mouthfeel without being cloying

Geuze Mariage Parfait (2015) C

Funk and hot asphalt and wet leather and sweet green hrapes

Boogoop (2012) C

BOOOOOO GOOOOOOP!!!! Broke out the cellar, enjoyed to the crush grooves of Fantastic Negrito— this is just past the apogee of greatness, slightly musty chewy toffee with distinct butterscotch richness and spicy undertones. Tapped at just the right time
