Finding the photo enhance w/ iPhone! I’m so old for this 😁. Went to the cellar for ‘20 to prove my recent ‘22 post the older ones aged are better than this latest batch. And it is. More depth & complex w/ notes of bourbon, coffee & chocolate. #Founders?

This still drinks almost the same as it’s release year, perhaps a little more rounded, but no oxidation that I can detect. Sublime, especially for the price. Has to be a top-5 bargain-for-quality

The 2020 seems a little more drinkable to me. Less boozy flavour (whether or not that’s possible). Bourbon is smooth and flavorful.

I had this last night (I forgot to check it in) and am having 2019 tonight. KBS is one of a handful of beers (including BCBS, Deth's Tar, and Parabola) that I have had every year for nearly a decade. 2020 was my least favorite vintage, though still solid.

• last of the keg 🩸💉😜 • dusty, slightly coffee, dark, but mildly nose compared to flavor • semi soft carbonated with a dry finish • flavor notes are typical KBS: silently in a combo, but chocolate, coffee and easy bourbon • always an “old mate”

Kolsvart, tjock och fyllig med mycket smak av kaffe och choklad. Tydlig smak från fatlagringen. En värdig nr. 3300 unika incheckningar på Untappt. 😀

I like to add bourbon/whisky to this beer to dilute the coffee taste and make the ABV stronger. This time I tried Wild Turkey Honey. Like this combination.
