KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge

Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

Michigan didn't invent old-fashioned fudge, but it was perfected here. We pay tribute to this time-honored tradition with KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge. By amplifying the rich chocolate notes of KBS using Mackinac Fudge coffee, then adding maple syrup and aging it in oak bourbon barrels, we've created a bold new take on our barrel-aged classic - one that could only have originated in Michigan.

Not exaggerating. This is incredible. Your dad ever brew the strong stuff or take you to a coffee shop brewing their own dark roast? No maple exists but I don’t even care. Buy this.

More fudge smell than in the flavor. Bit too heavy on the coffee flavor and I don't get anything from the bourbon barrels other than a touch of burn at the finish. Just nitpicking, really, as this is still a crushable 11% ABV stout.

Love it. Get more fudge than any of the other flavors but very well balanced.

4.4 little thin but very enjoyable. Barrel is light coffee shines fairly strong. Chocolate and maple help balance coffee

Simply one of the best beers I’ve ever had. Chocolate taste was amazing and didn’t waiver throughout the drink. At no point was this a hard drink or seem extra boozy- just a great drink from start to finish.

Starting off cold the maple is prominent, almost like KBS meets CBS. As it warms the maple fades and the fudge stats to come forward. Still get that KBS coffee taste throughout the entire cycle.

I think the real win here is that the coffee flavor comes through so well without it being bitter. The mouth feel is like velvet.

Oh FUUUUDDDGGGE! Good, but spoiled by Rev's most recent offerings. Leans heavy on fudge chocolate and the rest is lost.

“Oh F-uuuhd-j (but I didn’t say fudge..I said THE WORD, the big one, the queen mother..)”. Good, but asymmetrical. Canvass is the expected coffee & bourbon; chocolate is the overbearing star; treacle adds sugary decadence. Incredibly rich; #oneisplenty

Fudge yeah. Layers of chocolate complexity with a rich fudge note. Not picking up notable maple, just the sweetness on end. Complaint: took embarrassingly long time for you to evolve with the times. Been talking about kbs variants w/ friends for years!
