Gotta let this one warm up. When it was cold all I could taste was coffee. Once warm other adjuncts were coming thru. Does not taste boozy at all.

Very strong black fresh roasted coffee on the nose and follows through on first sip. I get a dark chocolate sweetness on the back. Seems like a faint natural maple tinge if any. Body is thin, could do with with a bit more viscosity. Overall a đź‘Ť

Excellent stout. Love the maple and fudge flavors. And yes the hint of pepper.

Incredible stout! Can't really taste the maple as it is hidden behind the coffee and chocolate (mainly the coffee). But the overall flavor is very heavy in an outstanding way. I highly encourage stout fans to give this beast a go!

KBS did not disappoint. It’s more like a dessert beer. Heavy on the chocolate and a great touch of booze.

Nose is addicting. A little on the sweet side but super boozy. Great as always from Founders!

Coffee on the nose and really shines at it warms up. Wish there was a bit more maple and fudge. Also starting to appreciate bourbon in beer

Post-10k run birthday beer. Thanks Mark N. this was a treat! Fudgy, not a lot of maple, but a decent body. Probably could’ve let it warm a bit, but hey. It’s my birthday.

Tastes like chocolate and coffee. If there is any barrel, it was wasted money because the flavor is entirely overwhelmed by the other flavors. Would've been good even without the KBS label on it.

Man this is like old school CBS. The coffee and chocolate are just fantastic. The coffee tones are a little strong. But overall really excellent. 4.37

I didn't really get a lot of anything from the BA and didn't taste much maple syrup. I drank this at all temps as well.

First KBS in 5+ years probably...impulse buy, didn’t even know they did variants. Not much barrel, but enjoyable none the less.

Flavor is CHOCOLATE! All other flavors are overwhelmed by the chocolate. Good, but should be more well balanced.
