I had to try it again. Second impression was much better. Great after a steak. Clear your pallet before drinking. It’s a stand alone. Tons of flavor. But KBS original is still my favorite.

Uber sweet, yes it is definitely fudge like and you can get the bourbon and maple and coffee. This is a digistif for sure. No need for the German chocolate cake after dinner here. Prost!

Poured a thick black with a sliver of dark tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate brownie. Flavor of boozy baking chocolate with just a hint of maple sweetness and cherry. The booziness warms the throat all the way down.

Nicely complex instead of cloying. Deep fudge flavors, hints of maple syrup and espresso. Very faint trace of woody vanilla from barrels, tiny amount of alcohol heat.

Definitely going big now. Nice balance of chocolate fudge and bourbon. Not as boozy as I expected. Maybe it’s the day - who knows? A little disappointed in the lack of maple flavor though. Thanks again Ryan for this one!
