Lovely grape character, soft, fruity, vinous, nice grape skin and integration.

Richly nutty and subtle oxidation makes the lambic seem older than it is. Slight warmth.

Magnum pour, unknown vintage. More of the deep, earthy, mushroomy Cantillon funk with rotting wood and preserved lemon. 4.25+

Current release - 2021? Rich, tannic grape and rich fruit. Light sweetness. Soft funk, nice tannic finish. Great batch.

I can't overstate how spectacular this batch is on tap. Just an insane raspberry character and the base lambic shines.

2015 harvest. Rich, leathery cherries in the way that only a kriek can be. The alcohol does add a bite to the finish. Yum.

The pear / plum note on the new Cantillon grape lambics is intriguing. Plum skins. Pear skins. Melon. Honey. Peach. Soft, smooth. Plums. Green grape. Yum. A little fatty.

Super fruity but with a lot of funk. Pear, plum, green grape, melon, floral honey, apple. Mildly oxidized/rich/fatty feel. Buttery rich white wine. Excellent.

Really rich cognac character, fruity, complementing the funk well. Mildly nutty with honey, oxidized sherry. Lovely funk - earth, mild mushroom.

The cinnamon is deep and rich, complementing the coffee and barrel really well. Lots of roast, grain, burnt sugar and bourbon. The feel, though, is a little fatty. Very tasty.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter
Bourbon, caramel, curacao, orange peel and spices. More cocktail than beer imo. A little too sweet.

11 Sept 2017. Bitter, pungent grapefruit pith, more musty cobweb, mineral, damp tile, and biting acidity than the Drie. Gorgeous.

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label Edition N°3
Lovely funk, earthy, mushrooms, snappy, crisp, with grapefruit and green apple. The high carbonation scrubs the palate and lends a celebratory note to the beer, but let's be honest, there's not a whole lot to celebrate about humanity right now. Quenching.

2014. Slightly more citrus to complement the raspberry, earth. Vanilla. Lovely.

2013. Fantastic, but not as good as the 2011. Slightly sharper, especially on the palate. Lovely nose.

Thanks, Nick B. The nose is jammy, super blueberry skin, grape skin, blueberry, slightly cooked fruit, sour cherry, blueberry blend on the palate. Unique, brilliant.

2007. Thanks Nick B. Super bright less fruity than the 2011, jammy, seedy raspberries but with lemon, cinnamon. Light honey. A touch more acidic, this is fantastic.

Fantastic nose, with great cherries, but damn, what a disappointing palate.

2006? 2007? Not sure, but this one's a teen, and is one of the better cellaring experiments. Rich dark fruit, savory soy, licorice, sherry, port, umami and no cardboard. Fantastic.

A little more disjointed then it was a couple of months back. Weird bitter coffee.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS)
2019 vintage. Coffee's faded a little, leaving the maple as the dominant flavor.

2017 release. Revisiting this 3 years later, this is still horrifically sweet and cloying with a medicinal blueberry flavor. Blueberry robitussin, anyone?
