Fudge and maple it is. Sweet, creamy and smooth. Hiding it's ABV very well. 2020 edition.

This is probably my favorite KBS variant, the smell as you first take a drink is fudge and coffee, excellent taste!

Can't help thinking this might've been even better without the maple syrup consistency. Still, KBS = amazing!

Big aroma of cocoa and fudge. Roasty, coffee, chocolate, fudge. A little thin and still hot.

Rich dark chocolate with deep amber maple syrups notes. Fairly decadent.

Aroma is very forward with big notes of coffee, chocolate and sweetness. First sip is definitely less sweet than the first impression from the smell. The notes go back and forth between dark roasted coffee and dark chocolate with a subtle hint of walnuts

As average rating shows, my preference is also original KBS. Maple version is too sweet and boozy to me. This feeling was same between original and maple version of Decontrol brewed by Zagovor.

2nd hit at this (2020 edition). Actually a bit disappointing again. The coffee and the brownie/chocolate kinda works, but I definitely would like the bourbon to play a much more significant role. Base beer is carrying it home. BottleSharing with Søren SH!
