KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge

Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

Michigan didn't invent old-fashioned fudge, but it was perfected here. We pay tribute to this time-honored tradition with KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge. By amplifying the rich chocolate notes of KBS using Mackinac Fudge coffee, then adding maple syrup and aging it in oak bourbon barrels, we've created a bold new take on our barrel-aged classic - one that could only have originated in Michigan.

A sweet, dark, rich beer. Great to split with friends. I actually do get maple flavor as opposed to sugar.

Having visited Mackinac Island too many times to count, and being a serious “fudgie,” I can say with certainty that this tastes nothing like Mackinac fudge. I get a lot of coffee, some chocolate, even less maple. I enjoyed it, but Mackinac it ain’t.

Decadent chocolate. Not a hint of booze for 11%.

I can’t really fathom how this brewery is incapable of brewing stuff that is any less than amazing! Extremely smooth and creamy chocolate overtones and a sweet maple finish. Can’t believe I need to leave the beer walhalla that is the USA in two weeks.. 🥲

Malty dark chocolate with the maple cutting the bitterness. Rich and creamy but not too sweet.

Has a nice chocolate, maple and fudge aroma. Taste is smooth and clean with weak chocolate fudge flavor and hints of make. Not bad but flavor level compared to other stouts is not as high.
