Very natural raspberry scent. Light cloudy pink. Very light sweetness. There's some peculiar spiciness in it: tasty!

Cloudy orange pour. Lots of brett on the nose. Way thicker consistency, way more in-your-face flavour and way more complexity than the young lambic we started the tasting with. Loving this!

Transparent orange pour. Brett on the nose. Thin consistency, and a teensy bit flat, but boy is there a lot of sharp sourness to be found in here! Followed by a very short faint and then follow-up by a new sour pinch. Nice!

Apricots on the nose. Yellow cloudy pour. Extraordinary sour profile with lasting fruity apricots and face-puckering acidic overtones; nice dry finish.

First time I had the pleasure to sample a fruit beer with nitro; hope to be able to do this a bit more! Awesome creaminess to complement the delicate red fruits in here.

I can’t really fathom how this brewery is incapable of brewing stuff that is any less than amazing! Extremely smooth and creamy chocolate overtones and a sweet maple finish. Can’t believe I need to leave the beer walhalla that is the USA in two weeks.. 🥲

That’s some fine creamy and roasty espresso in a bottle right here!

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS)
Decided to end the evening with a gem. The smell makes me reminiscent of southern America, whereas the flavour brings my right back to the great white north. Coffee, roasted to perfectness, with a splash of maple syrup and a pure chocolate finish. Damn…

Final brew as a 28yo and damn, did I pick a fine one! The smell already slightly gives it away: the tastebuds are in for a hopsplosion! Extremely bitter, with sick roasty overtones. Not for the faint of heart.

Of all the big Dutch brewers, somehow Grolsch always seems to be able to stand out and create stuff that is substantially more enjoyable than you average ‘“lager for the masses”. Luscious foam layer. Super smooth flavour with lots of caramel. Good stuff!

That lovely tartness I love about Boon is wholly present here. Nice distinct hints of raspberry on the finish.

So much layers of flavour! Delicate sour in its core, oakey overtones, some faint clementines and a very juicy finish.

Celebrating the 3rd anniversary with the missus. Not too sour (which is a bummer), with a peculiar bitter finish. Elegant, in a way, but I’ve had better...

Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - VAT 109 Mono Blend
Exquisite! Woody undertones, campaigny overtones and a whole lotta sour to kick you in the uvula. Boon’s always been my favourite sour brewer and again doesn’t fail to deliver!
