KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge

Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

Michigan didn't invent old-fashioned fudge, but it was perfected here. We pay tribute to this time-honored tradition with KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge. By amplifying the rich chocolate notes of KBS using Mackinac Fudge coffee, then adding maple syrup and aging it in oak bourbon barrels, we've created a bold new take on our barrel-aged classic - one that could only have originated in Michigan.

It’s good, but the Fudge doesn’t really come thru and I’d rather have normal KBS. 0/2 on variants vs the original now.

The fudge is nice and strong. The maple is blended well and not too strong. All this and the Barrel Aging goes great.

Flavors are there and it's not a sugar bomb. I get the chocolate/coffee, the barrel, and maple. Nicely done. Warming up is definitely key.

Dark chocolate + medium roast coffee, with a hint of maple goodness on the finish.

Grabbed a single for 7 bucks. Kinda glad I just got a single. BA has this as world class. I disagree. The nose is very inviting, but flavors just don’t get there for me. Their use of maple in CBS set the standard. This is above average, not spectacular.

Monster dark fudge and coffee nose. More heap of fresh coffee and milk chocolate. Finishes with that typical kbs tobacco coffee finish

Nose is all coffee and fudge. Maple and chocolate come through with the bourbon warming on the finish. Not too boozy and wish it was a bit more viscous. Otherwise not bad.

Decent, but a little too sweet and a little too much coffee. This might be better in a few months.

I have to let it sit for awhile. It tastes really good but the coffee flavor overpowers everything else in the beer

Oh FUUUUDDDGGGE! Good, but spoiled by Rev's most recent offerings. Leans heavy on fudge chocolate and the rest is lost.

Very sweet. I didn’t taste much bourbon. Strait maple fudge. Not my thing. The aging room smoke was $ tho!

Chocolate, then coffee, both prevalent. Then bourbon. Then maybe maple. The maple gets lost due to the heavy hitting chocolate and coffee.

Paired well with my 3rd playthrough of Fire Emblem 3 Houses. Assertive bitter, dry coffee roast up front, sweet maple party out back. Bourbon booze poking it's head up throughout.
