Barrel Aged Imperial Stout (Mothership Series) W
Wow. Thanks Craig W. ,this is terrific. A classic imperial stout, it would be solid without the barrel. But I’m getting lots of (bourbon, I think) barrel, plus what I think is vanilla, although that might be my imagination. This is better than KBS, IMO.

#ThursdayNightStout. This is “fine”, but I still think base unadulterated KBS is as good as (or better than) any of the adjuncted versions or variants.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2018) W
Channel surfing between Disney Plus, ESPN, and SNY; CBS seemed to fit in well with the motif. Plus it’s delicious. My last CBS bomber 😟 but I’m starting to think I don’t want to age stuff TOO long anyway.

#BarleyWineWednesday continues. Unfortunately, this one is very disappointing - the lowest I’ve ever rated a BW, including back before I really appreciated them - & FWIW, it’s not particularly close, despite the fact that this rating is actually generous

#ThursdayNightStout, had to drink something tonight from the appropriate state. The beer itself is good, very hazelnut-forward without being overwhelming.

The cinnamon is a little less overbearing than last time I tried this, and the beer overall is tastier. So I’m thinking that if the trend continues, this will age really well. #Thursdaynightstoutcontinues

Lots of cinnamon, not so much vanilla or cocoa. Thin for a KBS variant, too.

This held up really well - I almost bumped it up to a 4.25. Making room in the “KBS” section of the cellar for new variants.

Decent, but a little too sweet and a little too much coffee. This might be better in a few months.

Pretty unique. Definitely tastes like coffee. I’m not getting much cocoa, and the vanilla is pretty subtle.
