Incredible sweetness and a great woody flavor. The aging is great and it makes it so smooth and candy like. Never know how high the abv is unless you look....or drink the bottle yourself lol.

Stay at Home- Day 136. Nice sweetness from the maple syrup. It's mellowed for a year so it's nice and smooth.

This beer was refrigerated since the day I got it and no oxidation. Maple syrup flavor is no longer but bourbon and molasses are there. Not a big fan of the flavor but it’s drinkable.

dark but shiny brown. molasses boozy nose. raisins foggy mouth with long boozy bourbon aftertaste. moderate carbonation. quite good. deceptively smooth.

Deep, coppery color. I think the aroma is of molasses, perhaps carmelized sugar. Rich mouthfeel. Peculiar flavor. Caramel aftertaste. Big alcohol.

Take Founders Old Curmudgeon, a beer they named after me, then mellow it out for a year by bourbon barrel aging, and you get a more tempered form of the original. Worth the pour.
