Bottled 8.22.18...this has really held up, phenomenal...almost has a tobacco taste

Bottle from 2018. Deep rich maple with alot of vanilla from the bourbon barrel. Got alot smoother over the years and the high abv is not notable.

Picked up this oldie but goodie at Dead Reckoning and first sip, immediately remembered why I loved this one so much. Holding up nicely 4 years later.

Very sweet on the hit but just avoids the edge of cloying. Buttery on the sides of tongue. Warm on the roll off without getting whacked by bitterness or alcohol. But only drink ONE.

22DEC20 -12.7% ABV. Super interesting beer. Pours a very deep brown/orange. Tastes sweet, like maple syrup it’s brewed with and maybe some orange. Feels thick and oily. Leaves a lasting sweet aftertaste. I really enjoyed sipping this one.

One last brew for the evening. Rich, inky molasses notes, dark sugar and light caramel, just stellar. Founders is my kryptonite,.for good cause.

Consider it a late birthday gift, one of my favorite beers ever. Happy to find it on draft and it’s just as amazing as always. The maple barrel is top notch as always.

Beginners beware ⚠️ 12.7% alc. So strong. Tastes amazing. The molasses is very strong and gives it a chocolate taste. The maple syrup makes me crave waffles and bacon. 5 star is earned.

Aged 2 years. Lacks bourbon notes but its still a 5 for me.
