Easy drinking juicy ipa with a nice amount of citrus and peach flavor. Nothing crazy but it’s one of founders better ipa offerings.

Consider it a late birthday gift, one of my favorite beers ever. Happy to find it on draft and it’s just as amazing as always. The maple barrel is top notch as always.

Mexican chocolate beer done right. Tons of coffee and sweet chocolate with a subtle amount of pepper flavor. Has a nice barrel presence as well. Doesn’t have a lot of spice to it but overall tastes excellent.

The oak adds another dimension to the beer that makes it next level. Takes a little bit of the sweetness out of the regular kbs but I personally like it. Wish KBS tasted like this lately.

Very fruity and sweet for a gose but it tastes great regardless. Could use a little more salinity to balance out the sweetness but it’s overall very enjoyable.

4 Giants Starcatcher Haze Mead
Not the biggest Greta Van Fleet fan but kudos to them for getting founders to make a good hazy. Straight up citrus juice with quite a bit of hoppy bite. Not too sweet which is nice.

Very surprised with how good this is. Natural tart blueberry flavor with everything you love about KBS. The nose on this is insanely pleasant and the meld between the coffee and blueberry is amazing. Probably my favorite KBS variant to date.

Light blueberry notes with a decent amount of ginger. A little too sweet for me but it’s not bad at all.

Very sweet blueberry and honey notes with a subtle amount of bourbon barrel. Wish the barrel had more presence to cut back the sweetness in a way. Very smooth for almost 13%.

One of, if not, the best porters I’ve ever had. The coffee notes in this is insanely good. Perfect balance between roasty and sweet coffee along with how good the base founders porter is. Hope they bottle this because I’d buy a case of it.

Liquid coco puffs in a glass. Bold milk chocolate flavor with tons of vanilla as well. Heavy bodied and you can feel the booze in this.

It’s been three years since I’ve had this and it’s still fantastic. Cheers to the brew that got me into craft beer 🍻

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Mead
Last bottle of this and I’m still loving it. Roasty brown with tons of orange and sweet cherry. A little bit of vanilla on the finish too. Crazy smooth for the abv.

Very maple forward with a nice amount of cinnamon to balance out the sweetness. Nails the cinnamon roll flavor fairly well.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2018) Mead
Still have my secret KBS stash goin. 2018s drinking well, tons of chocolate and coffee. The bourbon is very subtle but not completely gone yet.

A beer of subtleties. All of the subtle amounts of bourbon, barrel, cherry and maple syrup add up to a great beer. Glad that founders made even more of this.

Good trippel! Hits all the notes for a good Belgian with an added sweetness from the agave. Does not taste 10% at all.

Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout (2020) Mead
Breaking this out like last NYE. The barrel heat has mellowed a lot and you get more of the malt and chocolate because of it. The barrel is very prominent and delicious. Very thick and chewy. Happy to end this shitshow of a year with this.

A more complex version of Blushing Padre. It’s all tequila and raspberry yet the cranberry and orange is subtle but adds a lot. Incredible stuff!

Chocolate chip pancakes drizzled in maple syrup. Absolutely fantastic stuff. Insane barrel characteristics as well.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) Mead
A sweeter variant of KBS. Coffee and fudgy chocolate forward with a slight tinge of vanilla and bourbon on the finish.

Curmudgeon’s Better Half (2018) Mead
Still my favorite beer ever but can’t lie and say that age isn’t helping it out. The bourbon and maple is almost gone but the molasses and caramel is still there. Still ridiculously easy drinking and smooth.

World Wide Stout - Bourbon Barrel Aged (2019) Mead
Broke in a special bottle for getting the new job. So damn smooth with plenty of bourbon barrel.

Starbucks latte in beer form. Tons of sweetness from the vanilla and lactose. Great coffee flavor and a subtle barrel presence.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Mead
Absolutely an old fashioned in beer form. Sweet cherries, tart orange and plenty of bourbon barrel characteristics. Finishes sweet and smooth. Incredibly smooth drinking as well.

Bees In the Peach Trees Braggot Mead
Prefer this over the blueberry braggot. The peaches and vanilla complement eachother well and the cinnamon adds a great touch.

Classic velvety smooth porter. All the dark chocolate and roasted malt you could want. Still slightly prefer Bells porter but this is still great.

That malty, molasses, dark fruit good good. Makes me want to break out a better half.

Not getting the mead aspect of this outside of tons of sweetness. There’s tons of tart enjoyable blueberry flavor in this with a sizable malt backbone. Reminds me a bit of a sweeter/thicker double soft parade.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2017) Mead
2017 bottle of KBS for 5.50? Sign me the fuck up. Definitely on its last legs. The coffee is VERY subtle along with the barrel, the chocolate is dominant. Very tasty still.

Sugared dates and prunes with a dash of vanilla. You definitely can feel the 13% in this so it’s definitely a sipper. Pretty much dessert in a glass.

Founders Old Fashioned Barley Wine Mead
The cherry and orange are the stars here. Full sweetness from the cherry and tartness from the orange. The barrel is very minimal, you get more heat from it than flavor.

Nitro U.N.I.T.Y Cinnamon Coffee Stout Mead
Heavy cinnamon presence that’s enjoyable and not overwhelming. The roasty coffee is there balance out the sweetness. Very nice.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2018) Mead
Found the perfect age for KBS. The coffee, chocolate and bourbon all are balanced and prominent perfectly.

Maple Barrel Aged Frangelic Mountain Brown Mead
Hazelnut coffee goodness with a soft tinge of maple. Not much bourbon. Definitely solid!

Very sweet. Getting tons of graham cracker and dark chocolate in this.

Finally get to try one of my white whale beers and was not disappointed! Sweet cherry that’s complemented well by the subtle bourbon barrel and maple. The bourbon and maple aren’t super prominent but they are there enough to elevate the beer.

My dessert for the night. Glad I don’t have to drive out of town for CBS on draft.

Love this beer to death and back. Could have it hooked to me VIA IV and I wouldn’t complain. Quickly became one of my favorites.

Hoppy citrus with tons of malt on the back end. Very well balanced, wished I bought a pack of this when it was around.
Fudgy chocolate and tons of coffee. Subtle bourbon presence and not getting any maple. Tastes like a sweeter KBS honestly, which isn’t a bad thing.

Cerise aged in oak chips and orange peel. Probably one of the more unique beers I’ve had. Fairly sweet with tons of orange peels and a bit of woody taste. Very good but could only have one.

More like Marshall’s Better Half cuz damn I can’t live without this beer ❤️

God I need to find more beers like this. One of my favorites to come out this year! Tart raspberry and a subtle tequila kick.

Tequila barrel aged Blushing Monk? Sign me the fuck up! Tastes like the original with a warmer finish. The tequila is more subtle than what you’d get out of Mas Agave. Good choice for my 500 beer on here!
