Maybe IPAs do turn into barleywines eventually. Unfortunately the balance was all off after time in the cellar. Maple is gone. Bitterness really took the front seat but there was a barleywine hint of malt sweetness 3.79

The ASSault on 2015 vintages continues. This is how I prefer my Black IPAs, 🍁 🥃 barrel aged. I’m still smelling some maple 7 years in. Also gettin some licorice, too much. The booziness is gone and I wouldn’t guess it was 11%.
