Altijd een hele fijne stout, net als 2020 iets lichter/ minder vol van smaak dan andere jaren maar nog steeds fijne combi van flink cacao, koffie de bourbon en ook echt het hout van de eiken vaten (beetje zoethout wel). Blijft lekker maar is beter geweest

Bottled 2/2/21. Pretty boozy compared to prior years, might want to sit on these for a bit. Chocolate and coffee notes

Could have been a great beer like the 2017 vintage, but this 2021 version had too much coffee flavor….

Col beige moyen. Robe noire opaque à reflets bruns. Nez liquoreux, boisé, expresso, chocolat et sucré. Attaque torréfiée, sucrée, boisée. Corps moyen, pas si épais, curieusement on est pas sur un "pétrole". Longueur bourbon, tabac, chêne et chocolaté.

Under tiden mina smaklökar var ur balans så drack jag vissa öl, men var dålig på att checka in dem. Så checkar nu in dem i efterhand. Tyckte denna var lite tunn. Mina smaklökar som spökar eller är det en sämre årgång än vanligt?

2021 udgaven.. as always, kvali kvali kvali. Kaffe, vanille, fadlagret. Og så har den vist stået lige ved siden af en mapple sirup edition - den har nemlig en yderst svag snert af ahornsirup. Ja det har den så rent faktisk stået ved siden af i mit ølskab

Strong as always. Big vanilla and dark chocolate flavors. Quite woody. Coffee mostly a background note. Definitely boozy. This beer isn’t quite the mind blower it used to be. Thought it definitely improves with proper aging.
