I've had a few more, it's still decent but I marked it down a little. It smells wonderful and initially it tastes okay, it has an odd aftertaste that is slightly bitter or medicinal as someone else said.

Initially a ton of vanilla, light maple syrup, light barrel, followed by resounding bitterness half caused by roasted malt and half caused by hops. medium body, light carb, bitter roasty light vanilla aftertaste. It's fine.

The maple, vanilla, and bourbon are all very subtle; very sweet. The finish is sort of woodsy. Doesn’t do any one thing well, but the sum of its parts is solid.

Wasn’t expecting much but I think it still under performed my expectations. Wanted a more straightforward beer and maybe this is it, but I didn’t get any vanilla and very little maple. Not overly sweet which is nice.
