Great flavor for the base Porter, though its weight skews more towards a Stout. Sweet, but not overly so. Vanilla, oak, and bourbon are balanced extremely well.

Damn, Founders knows how to do bourbon barrel! This is excellent. Very smooth, malty, sweet. Nice bourbon flavor with vanilla and maple syrup flavors. Gave one away, will age the other two from the 4-pack

Nose of vanilla, maple & chocolate. Robust head on this deep dark pour. Mouthfeel is creamy & thick. Roasty and decadent, maple, caramel & bittersweet chocolate, Smooth, creamy goodness. Panther Cub Ella approves too.

Get the woody char from the barrel aging complimented by the touch of vanilla and maple. These ingredients and process are a match made in heaven. Delightful! 4️⃣🔹7️⃣5️⃣ Gotta call a ♠️ a ♠️. Can't wait to see how the flavors evolve with bottle aging.

Good, as expected from Founders. Amazing vanilla, nice hints of syrup, and some bourbon lurking around in there.

Wonderful. Roast bitterness aftertaste keeps this from being perfect. Strong vanilla and maple makes this one of the sweeter beers I've had. Tastes like there are chocolate nibs in there but I'm pretty sure that's malt.

Ohhhhhh...this is fabulous! Very pleasing on the nose... smooth...not too much vanilla, which combined with the BBA takes the coffee down to a very nice effect!

Does not come across as a porter. It Is sweet like a porter but has a barrel aged flavor like a stout with a good maple taste

One of the best... if not THE best barrel age porter I've had. The Vanilla stands out.. the maple is subtle but adds to the complexity.
