Such a complex beer. Yes it is hoppy. Yes it is malty. Yes it is sweet. Yes it is bitter. Yes it is rich.I just don't know how to describe it other than I really really like it.

A dark brew with seven varieties of imported malts. Complex in finish, with hints of smoke and peat. Slightly sweet, but not picking up the hoppiness that others have noted.

Been a while but this is a really goot scotch ale malty with hardy any bite and its lik 8.5% hidden very well..👍

Bottled 09/07/21. Malty, of course, a little creamy, but I would like more smoky peat to the point of almost being harsh.

This was bottled on 1/18/21. Has a malty backbone and hint of smokiness.

As far as I’m concerned, this is consistently one of the top scotch ales year after year.

This beer really can keep its high quality year after year. The rich, malty and slightly smokey body gets perfectly balanced by the bitter backbone. Founders ❤️🇺🇸
