Blushing Monk

Fruit Beer

Blushing Monk is brewed with a ridiculous amount of raspberries and with a Belgian yeast strain that keeps our head cellar operator from sleeping for a week. It pours a stunning deep berry red and, at 9.2% ABV, has a surprising kick. The perfect dessert beer, it can be enjoyed on its own or paired with fresh cheeses, fruit, cakes and more.

Sweet, tart, and spicy. It really does remind me of raspberry jam. Bumping the rating up because this was delightful

Big berries, peach, tulip, light ALC kick aromas, med body, flavours follow aromas. Very smooth and a little sweet

Pours a ruby red. Smells of Belgian yeast and raspberry. Tastes of slightly tart and sweet raspberries.

Het lekkerste fruitbiertje dat ik tot nu toe gedronken heb. Een soort romige volle bessenjenever met 7 up. Smaakt goed! ALS m’n tante een pieleke had dan was het m’n oom geweest; of is dat tegenwoordig achterhaald?

Tän voisi tilata hyvän aterian päätteeksi jälkiruan tilalle. Mainio vadelman maku olematta ällön makea.

Umm. It’s sour. It’s strong. It’s ok. Somehow sweet while being sour? It’s hard for me to get through, tbh. Not my favorite Founders 🤷🏼‍♀️ But hey, that’s okay! I’ll get the Mackinac fudge again next time

Really sweet. Strong raspberry notes at the beginning. Crisp, fresh mouthfeel. Tart finish.
