Blushing Monk

Fruit Beer

Blushing Monk is brewed with a ridiculous amount of raspberries and with a Belgian yeast strain that keeps our head cellar operator from sleeping for a week. It pours a stunning deep berry red and, at 9.2% ABV, has a surprising kick. The perfect dessert beer, it can be enjoyed on its own or paired with fresh cheeses, fruit, cakes and more.

Tart and fruity in all the right ways... enjoyed this one a lot. Raspberry flavors are better realized and balanced here than Rubaeus. Another heavy hitter from the top tier brewery in Beer City!

Champagne bubbles. Rose hip nose. Pink red. Raspberry, floral, dry champagne. Belgian yeast on the back. Crackling mouth. Smooth finish.

Drinking it to get rid of it, not because I especially enjoy it.

This one is fantastic. Good balance, alcoholic finish, not overly sweet but tart. Probably a new favorite.

Very fruity followed by a strong tartness. I could drink the entire 4-pack, but probably shouldn’t!

It's been a while since I've had a fruit beer. This one a nice red color with a pink head. The aroma is strong with fruity raspberry and a bit of funky yeast. The flavor is extremely tart and fruity wrapped up with a nice alcohol burn.

I'm a fan of Founders Brewing, and this is another winner! For fans of a flavored beer with some kick, this one is for you? The fruity flavor isn't overpowering raspberry, but there is a sweetness in the flavor.

It's been a minute (a long time according to my teenage kids). Very fruity, more like cranberry juice than raspberry. Hits all the notes with sweet, tart and bitter. Better than a foo foo cocktail.
