yet to try sam adam’s 28% utopias, but this was aged in utopias barrels.. and it’s BOOZY!! drinks like it is 17% for sure. very boozy, heavy raisin notes - which i’d expect from a beer of this magnitude/barrel age

this backwoods bastard collection is always “out there”… HEAVY on the maple, this french toast is.. powdered sugar, vanilla. it’s liquid french toast! hella sweet, very strong and syrupy

Crimson Cru Shank

loads of cherry and red fruits.. sour-ish, or maybe that’s just the fruitiness that i’m picking up as sour

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Shank

this is awesome! all of the notes are prominent - maple syrup on the middle of the tongue, it’s awesome! cocoa BOMB!! delicious & viscous! also getting some coffee notes. dark, roasty, toasty, oaky, delish

i was first going to judge this lower because it wasn’t as “velvety” as i thought it would be, but i realized it’s not a “stout”, which that velvety mouthfeel rly comes out in. this is an interesting ale, with “stout-y” characteristics.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Shank

think this one’s from yesterday. very amazing! spilled some once i opened the bottle and i tried to lap that up!! definitely boozy, brown sugar sweet, and bourbon-y caramel/vanilla notes too!

very sweet, very fruity, still a sipper though, kinda heavy, tart, VERY close to a sour

KBS Espresso Shank

very strong, strong coffee flavor, dark and roasty

does not taste anything like a “lo-cal” brew AT ALL!! dogfish did an amazing job with this one, super hoppy, aromatic, great taste

SUPER STOUT! silky, coffee notes are heavy, dark chocolate, hefty, smooth, delicious beer

super hoppy, very complex - probably from the bourbon barrel aging process, sweet, and DANK YO!

tastes just like an ale, just like the bottle says, it’s got a “mead-y” taste to it, almost sweet, notes of honey.. good brew
