BFSun. Probably just as mediocre as I didn’t realize it was back in 2009/2010 back in the pre-Bolt Cutter era.

Good crossover between a stout and a barleywine.

I need to try more because strangely the issue is too little flavor and I doubt that

What the flip is going on in this one? Hoppy, roasty, boozy. Fun and not bad but not really for me

It’s been so long since I’ve had a non-barrel aged barleywine that I forgot how good the base is. Thank you Founders!

Very hoppy, pretty bitter taste that overpowers the malts. More IPA than ale for me.

Dark roasty malt mix up front. Bitter hoppy middle and a bakers chocolate finish. Smooth and covers the ABV well. Kindof a barley wine meets an ESB or Irish stout.

This is two beers with competing flavors in one. Barleywine up front with its sweet malt flavors and a bitter ipa on the back end. Well made, but very strange. Especially if you want a Barleywine.

Pours a mahogany color. Smells of dark caramel malts and roasted malts. Lingering bitterness.

Seems to me - the barleywine is lost. More of a cross of scotch ale/wee heavy/ Imp IPA. (Ibu @ 75).Different/unusual/novelty-drink 2 you’ll be on your a** not sure of a rebuy...but I can respect this one.

I know that I usually rate everything pretty high, but this was kind of boring for a Barleywine. Surprising, especially for Founders. 😕

I guess it does say Barleywine on the bottle in fucking lawyer print. Be more bold. Be out and proud that you're a Barleywine. Thanks William the Dr B.
