June 2022 bottle. A little more bubbly than usual. Also a bit more bitter finish. Peter Sellers was such a gift.

2022 bottle, purchased in December. Heavy coffee bitter up front. Slight whiskey note on the nose, but no discernible barrel taste on the palate. Chaulky mouthfeel. A bit thinner than old. Partook with “The Chosen (2022)”. Behold the Kingdom is at hand!

Vintage 2020. Finding one to two year age is best. This one is maybe 3 mos over 2 years.

From 12/20. Perfectly great. In solemn memory of all who sacrificed everything. May we not forget what they fought and died for.

Vintage 2017. Past it’s prime. Dark fruit presence but the bourbon sweetness is flat, replaced by heavy wood notes. Still, needed the reliable old bastard after the last mess…

Vintage 2019. Santa beer. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Dark, roasty malts combined with a big Founder’s hop profile. Love the malts, but not really a fan of the hop character.

Chocolate Milkshake open. Very good up front. Too thin to hold the barrel age ABV. Alcohol creeps in half way through the glass,

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Glasgow
2nd time around. Couldn’t wait. This time I get some cherry lozenge in the bourbon. Love the mix, but too thin for the ABV. Putting others aside for 2022-2023.

3 year old. Malty with brown sugar and bourbony notes up from with robust hoppy finish. Incredible sipper. Strong barley wine character (spot on Ryan!)

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Glasgow
Nose is amazing. Subtle complex notes of Dark fruit, brown sugar, and caramel. Really light and thin for the 11%abv. May need to wait a year on the next one.

Dark roasty malt mix up front. Bitter hoppy middle and a bakers chocolate finish. Smooth and covers the ABV well. Kindof a barley wine meets an ESB or Irish stout.

Sweet vanilla nose. Mashmellowy and tasty. Good vanilla and mild maple flavor on a roasty porter. Tasty! Brain drained with “Phantasm Ravager (2016)”. “My name is Reggie...”

Backwoods Bastard (2018) Glasgow
A little thinner than previous visits. Still my favorite go-to Hillbilly Scot elixir!

World Wide Stout - Bourbon Barrel Aged Glasgow
11/19 bottle. Big, bold chocolate boozy bourbon ball. Delicious through the glass. How they cover 18% ABV, seems impossible and it definitely catches up to you!

2019. Strong bourbon upfront and nose. Coffee carries through, but chocolate has settled into the background. Not the best KBS, but still superior to most. Exorcised w/ “Don’t Kill It (2016)” Dolph Lundgren hunting demons in the Western sense... Yaaassss!

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Glasgow
Fudge and more fudge. Delicious dessert. Maple very subtle in background. Michael Rooker saves a baby in Replicant (2001)

Deep, roasty expresso beans up front. A little thin end flavor wise and booze comes through more than KBS. Only getting a hint of the bourbon sweetness. Need to sit on the next one I think,

Imperial red IPA aged in bourbon barrels you sat on for 2 years, eh? Not a good idea. Hops have more of a dank, floral soap cast and sugary malts on nose are destroyed on the palate. This one was better fresh. Lesson Learned!

Curmudgeon's Better Half Glasgow
From 2018. Maple brown sugars over dark malty fruit. Sugar dates. Smooth, robust, and delicious. Booziness comes through in last 1/4 of glass.

Dark chocolate raspberry. Spot on flavor with a roasty backdrop. Drained with “Dracula A.D. 1972”

Vanilla and toasted chocolate coffee on a blonde / golden ale. Somewhat heavy mouthfeel for 8% ABV that goes from creamy to syrupy thru the glass. Enjoyable start and flavor, but misses on drinkability and finish.

Stepping it up. Vintage 2017. Fruity boldness. Smooth and rich. Booze has muted nicely with clear bourbon sweetness. Did you know - there is a Glasgow, Scotland and a Glasgow, Kentucky? It is all starting to make sense...

Aromatic, hoppy, and clean. Not really a fan of the hop character and balance.
