Syrupy and sticky carmel/toffee malts with nice sweet booze and fig/raisin and plenty of piney resinous hops at the end.

an inexpensive high a.b.v. (11.2%) barleywine ale. that should have been all i needed to know. not horrible & a good value. slightly carmel, with a bad hoppy aftertaste. rats, but good to have fur a quick buzz

Very high abv not much of barley wineness I was looking for but good. I not expert of course but have had better homemade I think

A true barleywine on the dry roasty and hoppy bitter side, nice. 3500 unique!

This is a highly delicious quality barley wine as you would expect from founders, however it has a bit more hot bitterness than most but I've tried and liked. Appreciated it from what it was brought it a little closer to room temperature not favorite BW

Very subtle. Not getting any punch in the face like Zach M. Don't know if there are inconsistencies but there's not much going on with this one.

Hmmm maybe this needs 8 years in the cellar to be any resemblance of the older versions I tried. Not sure glad I only got a single.....
