Pretty good. Not quite as memorable as I remembered it many years ago, but still worthy.

Unusual: standard roasted malt, molasses, and port flavors open then shifts into a lot of green hop and prune. Not syrupy, no anise or root beer. Curious. Like a black and tan but b-wine & ipa. Kind of growing on me.

A true barleywine on the dry roasty and hoppy bitter side, nice. 3500 unique!

This is a highly delicious quality barley wine as you would expect from founders, however it has a bit more hot bitterness than most but I've tried and liked. Appreciated it from what it was brought it a little closer to room temperature not favorite BW

Iโll rate it pretty good for what it is. Itโs well donโt, just not my thing. Reminds me though right away of the old days at British Isles in Okemos. Who remembers that killer dive? ๐
