Un peu sucre alcooleux au début puis raisin caramel et un brin de torréfaction agréable le finale est plutôt amère presque limite, ça manque d'équilibre mais l'idée est là et ça se laisse boire

11,2% 'american barleywine' with roasted malts, lots of hops. In other words: an imperial black IPA. Roasty, licorice, salmiak, piney, earthy, raisins aroma. Taste adds firm hopbitterness, bit coffee and caramel. How is this a barleywine?! Tasty though.

Has that chalky cocoa dry roast character that founders gets on some of these. A bit roast forward that fades into just a heavy carmel and needed and somehow nice heavier bitter

Woody scent derived from wooden barrels. The bittersweetness like licorice and the mellow sweetness spread, and the fragrant taste like coffee swells later.
