0,3% NEIPA. Quite nice and fruity! Always that cereal malty sweetness in these alcohol free beverages, but the fruitiness masks that for a big part.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) Van de Vijver
11% BBA imperial stout with chocolate, coffee, maple syrup. 2nd checkin. Actually better than first time; less sweet, more versatile. 2 yrs ageing has done it well. Still, f#ck Founders!

Insane In the Grain Rye Van de Vijver
6,4% rye IPA. A smoky touch in aroma, some citrus, a little bready. Spicy rye, smoke, touch of bitter, malty in taste. Special, especially the smoky touch which I really like but don't know where it comes from. I'd buy this again.

Oude Geuze Boon (2018-2019) Van de Vijver
LCI. 7% oude geuze. Stable, funky, old hops, some hay, some citrus. Maybe geuzes are just not my kinda beers. But I keep trying.

LCI. Over 2 months old can. Compared to last 2 times I git some piney notes as well this time. Overall quite sweet tropical fruit. Waiting for a new batch in the supermarkets...

LCI. To end a great beer weekend with Ronald V. 12,5% BBA imperial stout with coffee and cocoanibs. 4 yrs old. Heaps of filtercoffee in aroma, some chocolate, some bourbon. Same in taste, bit boozy. Idk I just expected the aging had done something. Not.

11,2% 'american barleywine' with roasted malts, lots of hops. In other words: an imperial black IPA. Roasty, licorice, salmiak, piney, earthy, raisins aroma. Taste adds firm hopbitterness, bit coffee and caramel. How is this a barleywine?! Tasty though.

Dunkel Weizenbock Van de Vijver
7,5% weizenbock. Typical banana estery and sweet caramel malt aromas. Taste adds wheaty citrus astringency, a little sour even. Too much carbonation at first. It's a nice try, but I prefer my German classics I guess.

12% BBA impstout with coffee. Loads of different coffee aromas and flavours. Some sweetness, a little sharp bourbon edge. Really enjoyable from draft!

8,5% wee heavy. Liked it better from draft. Still: clearly craftmanship. Really, a well brewed beer.

George Bourbon BA Van de Vijver
That is a very good BA imperial oatmeal stout. Great barreltaste, lovely booziness with vanilla and coconut from barrel. Roasty coffee complements. Still... I expected more than 'very good'.
