From Ray's cellar. Watching Cowboys...need this win. Nose is citrus and wine booze. Sips bitter. Some wine notes but hops are leathery and peppery. . Not a big fan.

Terrible! Don’t know if this is a bad batch. Or was not aged properly.

STRONGLY dislike the extremely bitter hop finish. I would never guess this is a barleywine.

On the hoppy side, but somewhat forgettable in it's flavor.

Raisin nose. Tea and tobacco body. Oaky finish. Not awful but I have had way better barley wines

Weird mix. Malted barley wine with strange pill type bitterness at end

Smoked and hoppy. Not the malty goodness I was hoping for

Disappointing. Backwoods is a better Barleywine than this. And it’s an imperial scotch…

Tastes kind of like a black ipa, not a barleywome, and I don't like black ipas

Love the idea of roasted barley in a barleywine, but this recipe conflicts w huge hop doses. Maybe better blended w a few yrs age? It's trying to be everything at once, missing. Bitter finish. Interesting, not great for me.

Smells awesome. Tastes....harsh bitter hoppines with strong bitter hop aftertaste. No thank you.

I hope it was just a bad bottle but this is damn near offensive. Metallic, over carbonated, muted butterscotch, stale barley, tinny caramel.

Barleywines don't benefit from heavy hopping. Label should say "do not drink fresh."

Dark black colour. Hoppy nose. The hoppyness overtakes everything else, though a slight malty/caramel finish. Meh.

Not what you would expect from a Barley Wine. Harsh bitter
