Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2023) Peret

Datk pour med brown head. Nose faint soy sauce and bourbon. Sips extremely smooth with a milk chocolate front. Whiskey barrel oakey notes. Sweet with maple and coffee. Deep roast gives a hint of bitter on back end. Chocolate moves to a dark as well. Love!

Raison D'Extra Peret

Bottled Jan 2019, purchased Mar 2023. Nose is malt, prune and leather. Slight booze burn on the nose. Sips sweet and boozy. Dark fruit with prunes and raisins. Total malt bomb. Boozy and very well balanced. Reminds of a super strong Scottish ale.

Wake Up World Wide Stout Peret

Nose is coffee and maple. Sips strong af. Whiskey first followed by coffee. Thin and very whiskey forward...not in a bad way. Quick burn and then a great balance of coffee, maple, cinnamon and chocolate. Fantastic beer.

Nitro Rübæus Peret

Gorgeous red hue. White nitro creamy top. Sip sweeter then tart. Creamy. Nice raspberry flavor that keeps going. Fantastic fruity balance. A new fav.

Highball Drifter (2022) Peret

Pours a cleanish copper brown. Frothy head. Sips very soft and creamy with notes very similar to an old fashioned cocktail. 11% but not boozy at all. All flavors balanced. Cherry, and orange peel. Dark fruits and bourbon. Really love this beer.

All Day West Coast Peret

Nose is citrus forward. Clean light color. Sips grapefruity and a hint of bitter. Clean easy drinker with slight pine notes. Mild on bitterness.

Wake Up World Wide Stout (2022) Peret

Pours thin with a shortlived tanish head. Nose sweet bold coffee. Sips the same. Coffee forward. Sweet middle. Notes of chocolate and maple. Nice char on malts on backend. Boozy. Really good.

Chocolate Cherry KBS Peret

Nose hase coffee, chocolate and a faint tart cherry. Sips thick and roasty. Very boozy. Notes of bourbon, dark chocolate, coffee, and finishes with sweet and tart cherry. Very enjoyable.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2022) Peret

As good as the original. All flavors subtle except the chocolate. This is very chocolate forward brew. Maple, coffee, roasted malt, dark fruit and oakey flavors are all there and beautifully balanced. Love this one. So good forgot picture...lol.

Nemesis (2021) Peret

From Ray's cellar. Watching Cowboys...need this win. Nose is citrus and wine booze. Sips bitter. Some wine notes but hops are leathery and peppery. . Not a big fan.

Crimson Cru Peret

Nose is fruity and sweet. Sips on the sweeter side with nice cherry and orange notes first. Allspice and oak contribute as well. Back end finds tart from the cherry. As it warms spice has a coriander and ginger taste. Nice beer with apple wine qualities.

Unraveled IPA Peret

Lemon and malt nose. Grainy flavor and hoppy. Almost imperial like. Sweet front side with some lemon and orange pith following. Finish hits a bit bitter first sip but mellows with more sips.

Mango Magnifico Peret

Nose almost like a white wine. Sips a little like wine. Has a tannic quality. Chili heat and a decent amount of fermented mango flavor. This is a great beer with a low amount of carbonation. Little boozy.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Peret

Pours dark and thick. Sweet and boozy. Bourbon notes. Orange peel, a little spice and heave malt. Well balanced and really resembles an old fashioned. Great beer.

Bottle Shop Belgian Twist Peret

Brewsology. Heavy Belgium flavor. Banana bready with clove. Sweet. Decent beer.

KBS Hazelnut Peret

Nose is coffee and hazelnut. Sweet and milk chocolate with nice hazelnut flavors. Chocolate turns dark and bitter with coffee notes and charred malt follows. As it warms turns boozy. 10 mins til bourbon and oaky note show up. This one is complex. Great!!!

120 Minute IPA Peret

Boozy roasty and a malty nose. Golden color. 16.6% abv. Sips sweet and extremely boozy. Hoppy as hell but smooth. Warming. Malty backbone. Sweetness carries til the end where some of the deepest hoppy flavors coma back at ya. Dries a bit on finish. Wow!

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa Peret

Boozy burn on nose with cinnamon and oak. Sips sweet and thick. Cinnamon and vanilla coffee. Chocolate and deep roasted malts as well. Oak and some dark fruit spike on mid this time around. Very balanced for all that's going on.love these KBS stouts.

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) Peret

Very special with Ray. Nose is bourbon and raisin. Surprised at how balanced this is for the 17.2 abv. First bourbon and deep malt. Followed by sweet and tart dark fruit. As the beer goes down all i can say is chocolate. Semi sweet. Vanilla in aftertaste.

Mango Smoovie Peret

Decided to retry this one. Maybe did not give it a fair shake before. Still looks like carrot baby food. Very low sweetness. More tart then sweet. Nice mango flavor. I under rated the first time.

Unraveled IPA Peret

Super easy drinker. Nice citrus aroma. Citrsy and sweet right off. Very fruity. Dries and bitter slightly on back end. Decent beer.

Backwoods Bastard 2021 Peret

1000th beer Duo with Ray my Father in Law. Smoky and Scotchlike. Bitter and smoky first. Dark fruits second. Finish is totally different with nice chocolate notes. Smoky flavor stays through all of it. Great beer. Can't wait to compare the next one.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Peret

Nice sweet coffee aroma. Sweet coffee and dark chocolate first. Creamy and boozy mid. More chocolate in finish but turns to a more milky chocolate. Very sweet and very full bodied. Nice carbonation as well. Easy 4.5

KBS Espresso Peret

Extreme coffee aroma. Bitter coffee and super roasted malt flavor. Booze and dark chocolate mid to finish. The finish is bitter as well. Deep coffee aftertaste. This beer is very profound in flavors...each one is extreme and wonderful.

Panther Cub (2021) Peret

Smells boozy and coffeish. Sip silky with super roasted malt, coffee and vanilla. Booze come 8n next but not overpowering. Thin and easy to drink. Finishes with a hint of maple and a tad bit of bitter from the roast. Fantastic!

Mango Smoovie Peret

The color reminds me of carrot baby food. Tiny mango aroma. Juicy and mango flavors. Not sweet at all mostly just sour. Flavor is ok. I guess I expected more. No bad though.

Dirty Bastard Peret

Brown malty goodness. This is a strong ale with some killer malt flavor. The mid I start to find the hopsand then the great maltyness is back. I really like this one.

Porter Peret

So good. Creamy and roasty with an amazing mouthful. Thin like a porter but mimics a stout very impressed.

Moon Rambler IPA Peret

Great floral aroma with a grapefruit peel essence. Crisp, clean and creamy on the front immediately followed by the hoppy citrus flavor. Finish has a hint of tropical fruit notes. A tad bit bitter....maybe mid 40% on IBUs. Good beer.
