March, 2021 bottle. A bit sweet, but still plenty of hop bitterness. Very nice.

a barleywine had a dalliance with an imperial stout … and lo, the love that dare not speak its name bore fruit

Had this fresh too (2021) and it’s aging well. Still toasty and dark for a bw, big, smooth, malty and hoppy

Kinda chocolaty, maybe it’s just the texture. Either way, really good.

Michigan Barleywine continues. This one is a bit milder and sweeter, but it’s all Barleywine.

Very Roasty and Bitter, decent if you like that type, but not for me

Roasty, malty flavors with a hoppy, bitter finish. Straightforward; not as complex as some barleywines.

Darker then a normal bw. Rich chalky malt. Sharp hop quality fades quickly.

I think I prefer an English style barleywine with a bit less hop bite, but this is still a great beer! Maybe after a bit more aging the hops will temper down with time.

Redelijke barley wine, redelijk bitter met een ligt zoetje en een koffie aroma. Had hem zelf graag iets zoeter gehad.
