Annual tradition, get the Thanksgiving day festivities off to a start with a six-year old KBS that has aged so nicely. All the heat is gone, just carmel and toasty notes, so smooth. Delicious. It’s what I remember loving about it before macro distro. ❤

This is a beer my taste buds have apparently left behind...which is a damn shame cuz I have 10+ more of various years. Someone make me a BA barleywine or imperial stout trade offer. No reasonable offer will be refused*. * I determine what is reasonable.

Found this 2017 bottle in the beer fridge, still nice rich flavors.

Blood…we drunk. Flesh…we ate. Standard sour front end from aging but manifested well. Middle was chocolate and roasted coffee. A pleasure. T minus 9 days til last beers.

Old coffee, roasty, dark chocolate, finish fell off.. I like KBS between 2 & 4 years.
