An interesting and complex brew. A bit bitter from the hint of orange peel, a bit tart from the cherry and a bit warming from the bourbon barrel. A cozy surprise on a cold night.

I dont get that it is 11%. It is too sweet, did this finish fermentation? It is fruity, maybe too much so.

Tuoksu on mieto, mutta makua riittää. On kyllä tyylissään tosi hyvä, ja tykkään isosti. Alkoholi lämmittää vielä mukavasti lopussa. Hyvää kamaa!

Fungerer slet ikke for undertegnede. Vinøs, karamel og kirsebær. En fyldig, fadlagret fedme. Kategoriseringen “Imperial Brown Ale” er lidt diffus for mig, og ville nok mere hælde til, at det var Barley Wine ved en blindsmagning.

Cloyingly sweet. I added a couple dashes of bitters and a squeeze of lime and that helped a bunch.

You gotta admire Founders for their ability to create beers with really wacko taste combinations that somehow feels totally natural. Malt, caramel, vanilla, orange peel, lemon, bourbon and hops are delicious, definitely!

Translucent copper amber color, foamy khaki head, soapy lacing, sweet orange, vanilla, and light bourbon aroma and taste, caramel malt backbone, molasses and cherry notes, light lingering bourbon finish.
