Very deceiving! Super smooth, very flavorful. Surprised by how light bodied it is, not a bad thing though. High abv is well masked. Very rich w/ a good sweetness. Good brew!

Tasty & bit unique (for the style)! On both smell and taste: Coffee w/ definitely some other things going on in the background. Not too sweet (yay)...just enough to round it out. Still trying to decide if I can detect influence of bourbon barrel 🤷♂️

Barrel coffee nose. First hit is an explosion of chocolate, coffee, creamy vanilla sweetness. It melts into a boozy, bourbon vanilla finish. Delicious. 4.4

Smooth, creamy and coffee forward. This is subtle And how I’d like KBS to drink now that I’m an old man… sweet, only a faint wrap of bourbon and smooth balanced coffee. Not aggressive at all

Another "wow" from Founders - their beers do not disappoint. This is almost like a mixed drink - boozy, chocolatey, creamy, little sweet and lots of coffee

Perfectly done. Not as much barrel as the big stouts, but that would have been a mistake here. It needs to be more subtle. Dead on. Other flavors come together really well.
