Velvet Rush

Brown Ale - Imperial / Double

Borrowing elements from both high-end craft cocktails and moody jazz clubs, Velvet Rush takes the bourbon barrel-aged brown ale up an octave with free-flowing notes of coffee, chocolate and vanilla extract. Milk sugar aids in weaving together this complex tapestry of flavors to create a unique sipping experience that really ties the room together.

All advertised flavors present. Noticeably high ABV. Apparently I'm just not a porter fan.

Rich, deep, clear brown with a creamy head and the aroma of coffee. Tastes like lightly sweet coffee with a slight sourness at the back of the throat. As a coffee lover, this one hits the spot.

Very similar to Sumatra Underground Brown, maybe a bit less chewy and a whisper more chocolate. Huge coffee, but pretty smooth.

The Velvet is based on the finish..very smooth and hides the 11.1 Alc. Another Founders barrel aged gem

Just slightly too boozing. That's the only reason it's not a 5.

This isn't your normal brown ale. It's really smooth with notes of espresso, cocoa and vanilla with a slightly boozy finish.

The perfect Sweet Tooth Tuesday brew with a robust and flavorful blend of coffee, chocolate, vanilla extract, and milk sugar! The 11.1% ABV is the icing on the cake; pun intended!

It's OK lots of watered chocolate up front with vanilla cream finish. Very sweet not too much going on flavors bland. Not boozy

Brown chocolate bliss immediate after it hits the tongue. Bourbon woody flavor is soft and mellow. This needs to be on your shelf and enjoyed.

Strong coffee dominates. Good amount of booziness covers most of the other flavors. Over time this will smooth out and be very good.

The booziest Brown Ale I’ve ever tasted , blurs the line between beer and a mixed drink. At 11% all you need is one , really enjoyable but not for everyone (Mike)
