First sip. Wow. Sweet and red velvet like. But really the bourbon takes over after that and I like it. I like that it's an aged porter rather than just another stout. This one is kinda going right to the head I can tell. I need food.

Has a nice toasty type beginning and sharp hard liquor finish. Back of the mouth you get the bourbon taste. Interesting, but a little heavier than I expected.

Vooral lekkere koffie. Doorschijnend bruin met een mooie schuimkraag. Koffie dus, chocolade, geroosterde mout, vanille, noten. Niet zo sterk de bourbon. Wat zoet, bescheiden bitter. Medium body. Weer een prima methode een Brown Ale leuk te maken. 🙃

I wanted to like this more but I think many of the flavor characteristics were overwhelmed by the booziness.

The bourbon flavor is very strong. It’s a good stout. Not too sweet and very flavorful!
