Sumatra Mountain Brown (2017)

Brown Ale - Imperial / Double

This bold brown ale gets its body from a team of malts, including caramel malt for sweetness, flaked barley for dense foam, a bit of chocolate malt for color, and aromatic and munich malts for added depth. German and perle hops add a touch of bitterness to balance the sweetness. The addition of rich sumatra coffee takes this perfectly balanced brown ale to a decadent level.

This has held up pretty well. Dry and roasty with a rich grainy feel. Cellar time has worked but it may be slightly past its prime.

Amazingly good for 7 y.o. beer! Slight bitter. Very slight after taste. Coffee still holds up.

This imperial brown ale was bottled 7yrs ago. Still has great coffee and the base brown ale, while thin, gets the job done
