KBS Spicy Chocolate (2023) Bryant
Just a hint of pepper on the nose. A dusting of pepper up front with a nice coco powder body mid palate. A nice warm attractive pepper feel on the finish finishes a solid ride.

Ginger, Spice, Barreled And Nice Bryant
Really has a nice gingerbread cookie smell. The ginger hits hard up front. Then you get a bready body that quickly yields to burnt sugar feel that brings an astringent bitter feel to the finish.

There’s this perfect cranberry apple thing going on the nose with a nice bourbon background. the flavor plays perfect on that cranberry and apple tones with such a nice backbone of bready Bourbon notes. Unique and lovely.

Over bake blueberry bread on the nose. the flavor is led off by slightly tart blueberries then a roasty, cocoa bread body. Pretty good for a fruited stout.

Like fresh made marmalade on toasted bread. It is a unique blend of citrus and a little bit of a citrus buttery vanilla kind of feel. yum!4.15

Smells like barnyard and hand soap. Dry white wine with floral and herbal notes. I totally get the vinegar feel as well. An acquired taste, but I love it.

I was really worried about this one, but it has aged wonderfully. Funky tart raspberry tones. Jammy fruit body. This is lovely creamy and smooth. Damn.4.65

Sumatra Mountain Brown (2017) Bryant
This has held up pretty well. Dry and roasty with a rich grainy feel. Cellar time has worked but it may be slightly past its prime.

Roasty and dry but sweet all at the same time. Rich dryness builds as you drink.

At 4 and a half years of age this one is drinking gloriously. Very much like a port at this point. The sharpness of the alcohol has faded very nicely. Dark malt and dark fruit find perfection. Love it. Wish I had more then 2 left in the cellar.

Juicy with a little bit of fruit bowl on the nose. This has a bit of haze to the field. It is a little bit of stone fruit and a little bit of malty fruit vitamins. I can’t really say that I feel that this one comes off as hazy though.

Has a bery chocolate based nose. Deep chocolate feel with a hint of cherry on the finish. It gets better as you drink. The integrated chocolate cherry feel grows. 4.15

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Bryant
Coffee and soft maple on the nose. Smooth creamy fudgy feel. Wonderfully rich feel. But not much maple on the flavor.

Bottle Shop Series Mango Magnifico Bryant
Smells like a mango gummy. flavor is mango and pepper upfront. The peppers on the softer side but it’s definitely there and plays consistently through the pallet. There is only a hint of heat, however. Actually quite pleasant.

Once again, I love me a bourbon barrel aged scotch ale. This is great.

I actually like this one better than previous years versions. It is more balanced and has more of the sweet cracker malts. I dig it.

Man, the mango and Mandarin thing really does wonders for the nose. Kind of taste like carbonated Tang. It is a little thin however overall. It tastes good and is refreshing but is rather unflattering. 3.65

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019) Bryant
Still has a couple of years on it. Still delicious. The maple dies a bit with age but I still dig it. 4.35

I’m pretty sure this is my first Belgian style triple from founders but it is a homerun for me. Nice balance of multi and Estie feel with just the right amount of fruit. It is delicious.

I guess I’m not really shocked and I haven’t checked into this one. I’m not a huge fan of session IPAs. This one is very grassy and herbal. Light and refreshing.

Sumatra Mountain Brown (2016) Bryant
I was surprised to find the coffee still played nicely in this one. It almost presents more of a mocha like feel now. I did add a half shot of bourbon for good measure and it worked out very well.

It looks like fall has vomited on my counter. So I guess this was an appropriate beer. Smells like brownies and toasted bread.Big time vanilla with soft coffee and slight Chocolate bready notes. This one will probably be perfect with about a year cellared

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Bryant
Noticeable orange liquor on the nose. Malty blend of flavors grace the tongue. Orange liquor is once again there in the flavor. Malty and orangey. Two pump chump. Not bad. Not great.

Like drinking rock n’ rye with the star anise really the star. Craft black licorice. Heavy alcohol feel. Damn. This is bold. 3.9

Beer Geek Vanilla Shake Bryant
Roasty and dry. The vanilla plays like it would with a mouthfeel of dark chocolate. It kinda gets overshadowed. Good stout though.

The OG pre lawsuit. This is definitely past its prime but still cool as hell. Medicinal malts and gooey sugars. My last one. Pouring is always such sweet sorrow.

Big malty grain on the nose. Bitter, dry grains team with dried dark fruits and black strap molasses. Needs some age.

Ok, so this has a really nice mango feel. It also brings an unexpected level of carbonation for the style. Very refreshing. Not tones of puréed fruit, but good beer. Yum.

Burnt maple on the nose. Coco and maple cream with a hint of burnt sugars.

Sweet floral nose of honey and citrus marmalade. This one is well past its prime. Musty, dusty and weird odd grain thing going on. Just enough to finish my 4 oz. pour.

It’s like that one piece from the Russel Stovers mixed box. Dark chocolate and a creamy raspberry fluff filling. This is pretty damn good.
