A little conflicted on this one. Some sips are a good crisp cherry that fades into bourbon, a little reminiscent of Southern Comfort. But some sips come across more medicinal. I get a hint of maple, but I don't think it fits with the beer.

#300 Checkin! Very fruity & cherry. I taste a lot of bourbon in this. Not sure if it’s the greatest Founders product but it’s not the worst. goes down very smooth on the finish.

Good but just too too sweet...if it dialed back the sweetness some and increased the smokiness, it would be totally perfect.

Wanted to like this, and can appreciate what they were going for, but this was not enjoyable for me. The sweetness from the cherry was amplified by the vanillin notes of the wood and syrup, making an overwhelmingly sickly sweet combo. Couldn’t finish it.

OMG a sweet fruity beer I actually like. And it's bourbon barrel-aged?! Can't believe I like at all, let alone this much. Maple syrup makes all the difference. Well done, Founders.
