Finishing this Friday off with Stranger Things and Frootwood. Over the top sweetness is the main thing I notice. There are subtle hints of tart cherry and maple syrup. The bourbon kick is pretty mellow. Not a fan.

Cleaning out the fridge at home. This beer smells worse than it is. I was almost afraid to try it. Tastes cherry and barrel-y, which I'm not convinced is a good combination in this case.

Never thought I’d ever score a Founder’s so low…the concept is there and the potential is immense. However there is a strange rounded butteriness that is almost nauseating. I’m having a hard time with this one…

A little conflicted on this one. Some sips are a good crisp cherry that fades into bourbon, a little reminiscent of Southern Comfort. But some sips come across more medicinal. I get a hint of maple, but I don't think it fits with the beer.

Interesting complexity, but in the end, overpowered by the maple sweetness. The combination of that and the cherry tones give it cough syrup undertones that I just don't want in my beer.

Takes some getting used to; but a decent drinking beer. And yes, it is in a Raleigh Brewing glass. LOL!!!!

i love founders' barrel-aged stuff, but this is really bizarre. very thin? tastes strongly of dill for some reason?
