Super pleasant ale, lots of coffee. Notes of nut and vanilla, wafer. Touch of cocoa on aftertaste.

Sweet, rich, not too heavy, and just a little boozy on the finish

Can smell the barell-aged notes. Not as chocolatey (to me) as I was hoping, but still quite rich complex flavours.

Interisting and complex. The BA is light but the beer is smooth with chocolate upfront. Easy drinking brew

Nez café. Goût très choco, on sent bien le lactose, sucré et vanillé, malt grillé, bourbon BA present. Moyen amer.

Watching the Cardinals & Rams play-off game while drinking a Velvet Rush. Hint of coffee and vanilla. Another great barrel aged beer from Founders.

Founders remains impressive. Boozy, malty, smooth, just creamy enough, with the chocolate, coffee and/or vanilla notes to win over any new-to-malt beer lover. Perfect for a midwinter's day.

FML, outstanding imperial Brown Ale. Bitter roasty coffee, cut through with sweet vanilla, finishes like milk chocolate. Founders rarely doesn't deliver.

Surprisingly good. Well balanced, barrel aging adds a little extra without being overwhelming.

Complex, deep and delicious. Bourbon heavy front that mellows into chocolate and coffee

Sweet and tasty. I missed the bitterness that coffee can give but it is aged in bourbon barrels giving it depth and a distinct flavor of its own. Take your time to enjoy and don’t make the mistake I made by emptying the bottle too fast.
