Bourbon ball confectionary, and a boozy bourbon sting. Hazelnut syrup and faint vanilla. Tan head, dominate coffee with chocolate at the end. Creamy. Hazelnut blends well with this and comes through on the nose. Oddly I get a faint popcorn too.

So wanted this to deliver all my favorite KBS descriptors, but no. Heavy hazelnut nose, over-sweet to the point of masking the base, and no barrel to speak of. A rare miss. 🍻

Good hazelnut flavor, but I'm getting some off flavors and funky aftertaste that ruins the beer for me.

Tastes like a hazelnut latte with a kick. Great in a taster or 8oz but too sweet and heavy to go a schooner or pint. Certainly a reasonable variant to the longtime favorite KBS staple.
