Very thick and smooth head with cream/raspberry notes

After aging 9 years there is not much sweetness left. It's still caramelly, with a hint of bittersweet chocolate, strong but smooth.

Strong and boozy. Nice body, notes of coffee, chocolate, and caramel. This has aged 7 years (and the bottle is showing it's age) if it was once sweet it isn't anymore.

Beer of the Moment at Ashley's. Dark, bitter, boozy, and a little caramel, with a little bourbon after it warmed. Seven years old. As the waitress said, the bottle has had a rough journey.

Love having the og from a year when I would chase down the distribution truck on release day to try and get some! This has held up nicely with dark chocolate and coffee aromas and flavors dominating…a touch of vanilla and smooth bitter notes finish

Boozy and roasty, bitter, especially in the aftertaste, chocolate, and a little sweet. Needs to be sipped.

it literally tastes like chocolate milk except with like significant alcohol

Pretty good. I used to get this and the Black rye back when I could find it in Ohio easily.

Smooth. Coffee, chocolate, bourbon notes. Creamy. Excellent

Can’t beat Red’s Rye for that good old original Red IPA flavor

Perfectly sweet and filling. I could only have two, but I also couldn’t imagine a day when I wouldn’t want two. Tremendous fruited beer.

"Beer of the moment" here at Ashley's. Dark and very smooth. Coffee and chocolate and bourbon must have all blended together in in the last seven years, they aren't really separately noticable. 12.4% ABV isn't really noticeable either, but it's there.

Delicious. Moderately hopped with a nice red color. Sort of a mix between amber ale and IPA.

Cherry cola beer ftw. It's interesting but i think the cola-to-beer mouthfeel ratio is slightly too high. #BelgianFest

Amazing flavor! I've been eyeing this on Ashley's menu for a long time and was finally convinced to try it! Delicious cherry flavor, lightly carbonated. It seems very appropriate served in the Boon wine glass.

Not a huge change from the regular Rubeus, but definitely a little creamier. Emphasizes the raspberry flavor a little better.

Really, not very good. Tropical fruit, piney and earthy. The flavors just seem to clash, not playing nicely together at all.

Pineapple and lemon, so sour instead of sweet. I should have read the description before ordering.
